Our Learning:

English

During our English lessons, we will be focusing on two different texts, Counting on Katherine and Greek Myths. Children will develop their reading and writing skills through creating a information report and narrative.

Maths

In the Autumn Term, we explore a range of topics including Place Value, Addition and Subtraction and Multiplication and Division. Over the course of the year, we will be preparing for our Multiplication Check in June 2026, building on our fluency of times tables facts using the NCETM Mastering Number programme.

Science

In Science, we will be focusing on two topics, Eating and Digestion and States of Matter. Children will be given lots of opportunties to develop their skills through observing, predicting and investigating a range of scientific enquiries.

RE

In September, Year 4 will begin their journey through the new RE curriculum, RED.

The first branch we will explore is Creation and Covenant.

We will continue with our daily Prayer and Liturgy sessions, spending time together reflecting on God's word.
