Worship Warriors
Worship Warriors at St Gerard's Catholic Primary & Nursery School

What is a Worship Warrior?
Our Worship Warriors are key in leading and living out our mission "Guided by God we learn to love, hope dream and achieve."
They support at St Gerard's by being a voice to develop our RE curriculum, our worship and the overall Catholic life of our school. They are able to make changes for the better in our school and within the wider world.
Who are our Worship Warriors?
Each year, we choose a group of children from Year 6 to be our Worship Warriors. We choose children who embody Gospel values in their daily lives and demonstrate key qualities such as reliability, good organisation, thoughtfulness, an ability to work as part of a team and being an excellent listener.
Worship Warrior Aims:
- Meet regularly to discuss their views and be heard
- Be excellent role models of our school mission and Catholic life
- Support leaders in preparation for all worships, prayers, and with religious displays around the school
Worship Warrior Roles:
- Plan and lead Prayer & Liturgy for younger pupils
- Support in assemblies
- Lead prayers in a variety of worships
- Lead prayerful activities for children at break and lunch times
- Manage the prayer garden and prayer pod
- Evaluate reflection areas and plan how to make improvements within the school
