Eco Warriors at St Gerard's Catholic Primary & Nursery School

Eco-Warrior (@EcoWarriorOrg) / Twitter

At St Gerard's, we are working hard to encourage eco friendly activities and practices in our school. At the beginning of the school year, children from all KS1 and KS2 classes are invited to share why they think they will be a great Eco Warrior before representatives are chosen from each class.

Why do we have Eco Warriors?

Being an Eco Warrior is a brilliant opportunity for our pupils to get more involved in the way our school is run and help us to be more environmentally friendly. It provides children with opportunities to share their feelings and influence decisions that are made. They share their own views as well as the views of their peers when they attend eco meetings.

What do our Eco Warriors do?

Our Eco Warriors help to care for our school environment. They encourage teachers and children to recycle and implement a range of eco friendly initiatives across the school. Eco Warriors will take part in discussions and votes, and feedback any relevant information to their class members. They will meet regularly to discuss their ideas.
