Catholic Social Teaching

At St Gerard’s, Catholic Social Teaching helps us to live out our faith every day. Inspired by Jesus’ teaching to “love one another”, we encourage our children to recognise that every person is special and loved by God. Through prayer, learning and action, we learn how to care for our world, stand alongside those in need, treat others with kindness and respect, and work together to build a fairer, kinder and more peaceful world.

We are also excited to be working towards the Oscar Romero Award, helping our children to follow the example of St Oscar Romero by putting their faith into action and understanding that even small actions can make a positive difference in the lives of others.
